Session description
Discover why traditional methods of teaching math may not adequately prepare our children for the challenges of the future. In this session, we’ll explore a key research-backed learning methodology, creative reasoning. We examine what it is and how it can revolutionize the learning experience.
Outline
10 minutes - Introduction, discuss current and past work as an educator, researcher, learning designer.
25 minutes - Experience interactive visual activities that remove language as a barrier and naturally drive student curiosity and conversation.
15 minutes - Discuss ways that technology can provide more equitable access to deep conceptual math learning—using visual interactive models as an access point/model.
10 minutes - Conclusion and Q&A.
