Session description
Outline
10 minutes: I will start by presenting some fun book-picking activities and then turn this into a collaborative Padlet board where the audience can feed the board with even more fun ideas.
10 minutes: Next, I will demonstrate the planner activity to the teachers. This planner activity is a personalized learning path students will go through after reading a book.
10 minutes: Then, I will share this planner with book report activities with the audience, so they can become the students in the room and pick one of the 15+ book reports that are listed in the planner activity to complete themselves or to get a taste of the lesson. Their students will eventually have the same experience that teachers will experience in my session, even if it’s quicker than usual.
25 minutes: Then, I will go over the 15 book report activities and show the interactive and creative nature of the activities to the audience.
5 minutes: Lastly, I’ll explain to the teacher audience how they can get their hands on my free lesson plans and how they will be able to adapt the lessons to their own needs and to the needs of their students.
