Session description

We present the perceptions of 280 preservice elementary teachers regarding challenges related to integrated STEM teaching. Participants' lack of prior STEM experiences as learners contributed to their tensions and apprehensions about teaching STEM in the future. We will discuss implications for STEM teacher preparation programs and future research.

Outline
