Participants will engage in a hands-on lesson from Smithsonian Science from the Classroom then collaborate to define characteristics of HQIM based on the example.
What is HQPL - High Quality Professional Learning (10 mins)?
Participants will engage in an activity illustrative of the SSEC professional development offerings and then formulate elements of HQPL based on the example.
Smithsonian Science for North and South Carolina Classrooms (10 mins)
Share results of an RCT study demonstrating that HQIM + HQPL improve student understanding in science, math, and reading
