Session description
When the district asks the tech guy to move toward Deeper Learning, sometimes that tech guy gets a crazy idea. See how we created a RobotPuttPutt course in my 5th-grade technology class. Students used Hummingbird robots to make their courses while learning about the math and science of minigolf.
Outline
I will take about 10 minutes to introduce myself and the Deeper Learning initiative in our district/state.
I will talk for about 5 minutes about my spark to make a RoboPuttPutt project.
The bulk of my time (20-25 minutes) will be talking about the process of teaching students the robots, the math/science, and the final projects.
I will leave 5 minutes for Q&A.
