Session description
This interactive 2- to 3-hour workshop explores culturally responsive teaching and brain research in schools. The first half delves into brain research and the cognitive development process of students. In the second half, participants develop classroom strategies to create safe environments of belonging.
Outline
Content and engagement: The content will be delivered through a lecture style that is interactive and thought provoking.
Time: 15-minute icebreaker, 45-minute lecture, 60- minute group engagement activity.
