Session description
In this session, based on his new ASCD book, Principal EL shares how we can inspire a new generation of leaders to empower teachers to encourage young people to shine. Dr. EL unpacks this through engaging conversations, reflections, and questions that help leaders develop strategies to impact their school communities.
Outline
The audience will interact with the 4C's and share their experiences with showing students and families that they are crazy about them, curious about their lives, consistent adults and developing school cultures of love and support. The session will be separated into 15 minute sections (4) where attendees will turn and talk and share with the group the strategies they have learned and used to impact the lives of students.
Supporting research
I have written several articles in ASCD EL magazine over the past year addressing this very important topic. Principals bring joy to the job and what new leaders need. Also I have written about Emotionally Intelligent leaders and other issues.
