This session explores how AI enhances teaching by automating lesson planning, assessment creation, and content visualization in Calculus and Statistics. Building on my presentations at national and international conferences, I’ll demonstrate AI-driven strategies that free up time for deeper student engagement, making classrooms more interactive and personalized.

Outline for Model Lesson Experience

This session will provide a hands-on experience demonstrating how AI enhances teaching efficiency and student engagement in Calculus and Statistics. Participants will first engage as students, experiencing an AI-generated lesson with structured materials, quizzes, and interactive visualisations. They will then switch to the educator’s perspective, using AI to generate lesson plans, assessments, and dynamic visualisations of mathematical concepts.

Attendees will participate in small-group activities, comparing AI-generated materials, modifying them to fit their instructional needs, and evaluating AI-generated assessments. AI-powered graphing and animation tools will be explored to enhance conceptual understanding.

The session will conclude with a discussion on practical applications, ethical considerations, and strategies for effective AI integration. This builds on my presentations at national and international conferences, providing teachers with practical tools to streamline lesson preparation, personalise instruction, and foster deeper student engagement.
