Event Information
The session will be run as a mock class with the participants being the students.
-Introductions, quick overview, connect to presentation - 5 min
-Explore = after being given a broad topic they "students" will have time to Explore using various AI and technology tools to narrow down a topic of interest - 15 min
-Reflection and Collaboration time - use a Padlet to share interests and possible find something more interesting by reading the information shared by peers - 10 min
-Gather more information about chosen topic (discuss how to cite AI references) - 10 min
-Create an image/visual in Canva to present findings - 15 min
-Share final product with class in Padlet - 5 min
The "students" will go through each phase of the research cycle and use the same tools to explore, create and share their work. They will need their devices and will be instructed on how to access all the digital tools that will be introduced in this lesson.
After this session, participants will be able to design and facilitate inquiry-based research experiences using innovative ed tech and AI tools. They will practice integrating platforms like Padlet, School AI, Brisk Teaching, and Canva to guide "students" through each stage of the research cycle, promoting creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.
