Event Information
During this session, I will introduce GameClass as a platform that transforms any lesson into an engaging, game based learning experience. I will begin by connecting with attendees through a brief discussion about how they currently use technology to promote student engagement. Next, I will demonstrate how to create a financial literacy lesson using GameClass, showing how to design activities, add overlays, and integrate decision based learning scenarios. Attendees will be encouraged to suggest topics or ideas to include in the live example, making the demonstration interactive and collaborative. Following the demonstration, I will explore how GameClass can be adapted for other subjects such as science, language arts, and business education while highlighting examples of student created projects that promote creativity and critical thinking. Participants will brainstorm how they might use GameClass in their own classrooms and share ideas with one another. I will also show how the platform provides automated feedback, grading options, and student data tracking to save teachers time and support differentiation. The session will conclude with a summary of key takeaways and an open discussion, allowing attendees to ask questions, share perspectives, and consider how GameClass can bring innovation, equity, and play into their teaching practice.
After this session, participants will be able to use GameClass to design interactive lessons that promote creativity and student engagement. They will learn how to create a financial literacy lesson step by step, apply overlays and templates to other subjects, and use GameClass tools for feedback, assessment, and differentiated instruction.
