From Checklist to Culture: Scaling ISTE Standards for 1,700 Educators

Three years ago, Riverside Unified’s professional development felt disconnected. To shift from tool-focused training to pedagogical growth, we audited every session, anchoring our curriculum in the ISTE Standards. This alignment transformed our 1,700 educators, moving them from passive app-users to intentional "Designers" and "Learners." In this session, we share our story of mapping standards to practice, the lessons learned during this cultural shift, and how this cohesive framework naturally launched private ISTE Certification cohorts.
