Session description
AI is reshaping how educators design and implement assessments, as well as how students complete them. Understandably, this leads to uncertainty about the impacts of these shifts on the validity of assessments and the integrity of student learning. This session examines recent research on AI and assessment to clarify what is known and what still requires careful consideration. Participants will explore practical strategies for partnering with AI’s machine efficiency while preserving their professional, human judgment to create a learner-centered system of classroom assessment.
