Diane Horvath, Blake Middle School
@https://twitter.com/techmonstah ISTE affiliate: MassCUE, NEISTE Diane Horvath is an educator whose work focuses on bringing accessible, creative and inventive learning experiences involving circuits, coding and everyday materials to all students & teachers. As the technology integration specialist at Blake Middle School, part of Medfield Public Schools in Massachusetts, she provides 1:1 support for instructional technology and collaborative maker ed projects, and teaches computer science classes. She’s always exploring ways to continually evolve the makerspace to offer fresh and new learning opportunities. Her recent focus has been on integrating physical computing and laser cutting in myriad ways, as she considers them game changers that can easily level up a student's idea into a real solution or product. Horvath also engages her own learning and leadership by working as the Computer Science Teachers Association’s (CSTA) Greater Boston K-8 Representative, is part of the globally focused #MicrobitChampions leaders, and shares at many conferences and on twitter.
