Josh Stock is a 6th grade literacy teacher and reading intervention coordinator for the Olathe School District in Kansas. He’s also the host of the “Awesome Sauce in EDU” podcast where he highlights the amazing things educators are doing throughout their Kansas classrooms. Stock is the author of the ISTE book Awesome Sauce: Create Videos to Inspire Students, Engage Parents and Save You Time, which includes tips and tricks for creating videos for the classroom. He also writes for websites such as Edutopia, is a contributing author for The Best Lesson Series: Literature, and writes for his blog, Mr. Stock Rocks. Over the past six years, Stock has worked as a consultant on various projects for Kansas University, first as a part of a research study with the university, and currently as a consultant, creating digital content to help educators learn how to pair technology with writing strategies. Stock was named one of the National School Board Association’s “20 to Watch” educational tech leaders in 2016, and received the Make IT Happen award from ISTE in 2017. In 2018, he received the Emerging Young Educator award from ISTE, and in 2019, he received the Outstanding Recent Graduate award from Emporia State University. He’s a frequent presenter at conferences throughout the U.S.
