Session description

Enjoy a beautiful morning in Denver mingling with others of like minds. We'll set out in the morning on a fun, engaging walk as we collaborate and share rich conversation. As we explore, we'll seize photo opportunities while connecting with fellow participants from around the globe. This tour will be meeting in Lobby A of the Colorado Convention Center.

Purpose & objective

Purpose is to network with other educators from around the world while we walk and take photos of the beautiful city of Denver. While we are walking, we will try various photo techniques and share ideas and apps.

Please note: The three of us are submitting 2 distinct photowalks. We intentionally are going to different sites and focusing on different locations. At previous ISTE's, we often had a wait list and up to 100 people signing up. By submitting 2 proposals, we are hoping that participants have some options on time, date and location. Thank you!

Outline

We have provided a photowalk for the past several ISTE's and we generally go for about 1.5-2 hours.

We begin with introductions, then take a group picture, and depending upon the size of the group, we divide into smaller groups.

We have various stops on the way based on the city, landscape and architecture. We generally stop 8-10 times and talk about techniques, encourage participants to try new features and support each other. The conversation, shared interest in photography and the city we are visiting is always so much fun and interesting. We not only learn about photography, apps and websites, but we have such a good time learning with each other. With participants from all over the world, it is impossible not to have a great experience.
