Megan Marcum is in her 5th year as the digital learning coach for Bowling Green Independent Schools. She helps run the Teach2Transform coaching cohort and focuses on teacher-led, problem-based coaching. Previously, she taught elementary school for 10 years, where she discovered a passion for history and educational technology.

Session description

"Best PD Ever!" Learn how one district changed professional learning from one-time sit & get to an ongoing, collaborative cohort. Get guidance on starting and maintaining your own fellowship-style coaching program, as well as a resource pack of materials to get yours up and running in no time!

Purpose & objective

Participants will learn how to structure a year-long cohort-style coaching program in their district through a partnership with their schools and central office.

Participants will learn more about implementing the 4 Shifts Protocol (McLeod, Graber) with groups of teachers and in real classrooms.

Participants will receive resources to help get their own program started, including justifications for stakeholders, applications, informational handouts, sample agendas, and instructional materials.
