Purpose & objective
Preserving Cultural Heritage: To honor the tradition of Posadas by preserving and promoting its cultural significance through a modern technological medium.
Integrating Technology and Tradition: To seamlessly blend technology and tradition, showcasing how innovation can enhance and complement cultural celebrations.
Fostering Creativity: To encourage participants to explore their creative potential by designing and coding a 3D piñata, promoting artistic expression.
Promoting STEM Skills: To introduce participants to coding and 3D design skills, particularly through the use of code blocks and TinkerCad, thereby advancing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education.
Community Engagement: To engage families and communities in a collaborative project that fosters a sense of togetherness, echoing the spirit of Posadas.
Learning Coding Principles: To teach coding principles, problem-solving, and algorithmic thinking in a fun and accessible way, suitable for participants of varying age groups.
Hands-On Learning: To provide a hands-on learning experience where participants can see the direct application of coding and design techniques in creating a tangible object—the 3D piñata.
Promoting Inclusivity: To ensure that the project is accessible to individuals of diverse backgrounds, interests, and skill levels, fostering inclusivity.
Culminating Celebration: To culminate the project with a celebratory event where participants can showcase their 3D piñatas, strengthening the sense of accomplishment and community.
Documenting and Sharing: To document the project's journey and outcomes, sharing them with a wider audience to inspire others to embark on similar initiatives that bridge culture and technology.
Encouraging Further Exploration: To inspire participants to continue exploring the intersection of technology and culture, sparking their interest in future projects that marry tradition and innovation.
Feedback and Improvement: To gather feedback from participants to refine and improve the project for future iterations, ensuring its ongoing success.
