She is the Director of Instructional Technology Coaching for the Learning Technology Center of Illinois and facilitates statewide meetings where coaches come together to share best practices. A National Board Certified Teacher, Nicole teaches graduate-level educational technology courses for three universities. As an ISTE Certified Educator, Nicole is an active ISTE community member and serves as an ISTE Community Leader. Session description

This playground is designed to support technology coaches with the up-to-date practices and strategies that cover a variety of topics that coaches need. The playground will feature prominent members of the technology coaching community and their strategies to better support teachers with technology integration.

Purpose & objective

The purpose of this playground is to provide edtech coaches with an opportunity to learn about best and upcoming practices in their field as well as network and connect with others around the globe. Participants will be able to evaluate these new practices and determine how they may fit best within their own practice. This playground will support the need for Edtech coaches to be at the forefront of technology integration practices as well as adhere to research and evidence-based coaching strategies.

Outline

All content will be designed by the chosen presenters through an application process. The presenters will be determined by a committee of representatives from the ISTE Community Leaders group. The playground time structure will be sets of 45-minute presentations with 15 minutes between to switch presenters at the various stations as needed. Participants will be able to join presentations already in session and walk among all of the presentations to glean the most important information for themselves. The processes will vary depending on the presenter at each station, but immersive and interactive strategies will be encouraged.
