Session description

Join the ECISD Techy Tribe to explore our strategies for empowering students and teachers, equipping them to excel in a rapidly changing world. Our expertise in digital tools, professional development, and strategic planning fosters a dynamic, inclusive educational environment.

Purpose & objective

Our objective is to emphasize the importance of catering to the diverse needs of teachers and how this positively impacts professional development. The goal is to ensure coaches leave with a comprehensive toolkit of strategies. We will focus on:

Highlighting the Value of Tailored Coaching: One-size-fits-all approaches often fall short in addressing the unique needs of teachers, leading to inefficiencies in professional growth.

Diverse Teacher Needs: Teachers, like students, have varying levels of proficiency. We will address how we meet the needs of our teachers to ensure that everyone is given the opportunity to grow in their chosen area.

Google Coaching: We will discuss how we use the Google Coaching model to work in cycles with our teachers who have chosen to be coached.

Strategies for Widespread Digital Tool Adoption: We will provide practical strategies for coaches to engage the entire district in embracing digital tools. This may include conducting district-wide training sessions, creating digital tool resource libraries, fostering a culture of digital experimentation, and showcasing success stories. We will also discuss how these district initiatives lead to more coaching opportunities.
