Session description
Purpose & objective
Participants will -
*See and hear student - teacher interactions in a blended learning classroom to include use of Chromebooks to produce content and access learning as well as using hard-copy interactive notebooks, paper, pencil, arts/crafts.
*Reflect upon applications of SAMR, classroom device management, google classroom, infinite campus, project learning
*Consider a philosophy of teacher-student workflow that leverages automation to reduce teacher workload while maintaining high quality student performance.
*Receive permission to trust their teaching and their students learning in order to let go of some tasks that automation could replace in order to focus energy on what really matters to their students
Success Criteria-
Participants can demonstrate participation in a dialogue that begins with presentation and can continue into the next school year as they reflect upon content and attempt implementation at levels of personal comfort
Outline
*Poster Presentation with accompanying QR codes / URLs to share with participants application of blended learning classroom and concrete examples of teacher - student interaction.
*Take-away strategy cards that include opportunities for continued dialogue
*Peer to peer interaction and device based activities.
