The purpose of this session is to empower educators and students to create vibrant visual content for diverse learning needs. Seeing some of the advanced tips and tricks in Canva, teachers will be able to unleash a new level of creativity in their classrooms. By the end of this session, participants will:
-Understand how to use Canva's advanced features for creating engaging classroom materials
-Be able to guide students in creating their own visual content
-Be able to use Canva's built-in AI tools
-Have practice creating various content types
In today's digital age, visual literacy is as important as textual literacy. However, not all teachers and students are equipped with the skills to create engaging visual content. Canva is a user friendly design platform that can bridge this gap. Its features are easy to use, yet powerful enough to create high-quality designs.
Introduction (10 minutes)
-Welcome
-Overview of Canva for Education
-Brief audience poll to gauge familiarity with Canva
-Introduce Workbook and Project overview
Demonstration of Canva Features and Begin Project Creation (40 minutes)
-Generating ideas with Magic Write (Generative AI)
-Creating with Magic Media (AI) combined with photo editing
-Mockups
-Video generation and video editing
Final Touches and Design Showcase
-Participants put finishing touches on their projects and showcase their designs
