This tour includes AR technology and participants need their phones for the game and stories. This tour will be meeting in the Hall F lobby of the Colorado Convention Center.

Purpose & objective

The purpose of this Denver tour is to celebrate and educate participants about the significant contributions of women in history who have shaped the city's culture, politics, and society. By leveraging technology and digital resources, this tour aims to engage participants in a meaningful and interactive exploration of Denver's rich women's history, fostering a deeper appreciation for their impact on the community.
Objectives:
1. Research and Information Fluency (ISTE Standard 3)
a. Participants will use digital resources, such as historical databases, websites, and multimedia content, to gather information about notable women in Denver's history.
b. Participants will evaluate the credibility and reliability of online sources to ensure accurate historical information.
c. Participants will synthesize information from multiple sources to create a comprehensive overview of the women's contributions.
2. Communication and Collaboration (ISTE Standard 2)
a. Participants will develop digital presentations (e.g., multimedia slideshows, videos, or podcasts) to share the stories of influential women in Denver's history.
b. Participants will collaborate with peers to curate content, exchange ideas, and provide constructive feedback during the development of their presentations.
c. Participants will use technology tools and platforms (e.g., social media, online forums) to engage with a broader audience, fostering discussions and awareness about women's contributions in Denver.
3. Digital Citizenship (ISTE Standard 5)
a. Participants will discuss the ethical and social implications of representing historical figures online and explore ways to ensure respectful and accurate portrayals.
b. Participants will practice responsible and safe use of technology, respecting copyright and intellectual property rights when using digital resources.
c. Participants will reflect on the role of technology in preserving and sharing historical narratives and its impact on promoting gender equality and inclusion.
4. Creative Communicator (ISTE Standard 6)
a. Participants will employ digital tools and creative approaches to present the stories of women in Denver's history in engaging and compelling ways.
b. Participants will use multimedia elements (e.g., images, audio, video) to enhance the emotional and educational impact of their presentations.
c. Participants will adapt their digital presentations to different audiences, considering the age, background, and interests of the tour attendees.

By integrating these ISTE standards into the tour's purpose and objectives, we can create an educational and engaging experience that not only highlights the contributions of women in Denver's history but also empowers participants with essential digital skills and a deeper understanding of the role of technology in preserving and sharing historical narratives.
