Session description

This session will help educators gain confidence in student podcasting. Maybe they have tried and failed, been thinking about doing it for years or it just sounds like a good idea. Podcasting doesn't have to be hard, and learning through mistakes is modeling true growth!

Purpose & objective

Educators will be able to help their students begin a podcast. Educators will laugh through mistakes with podcasting as they relate with other educators. Educator will leave with fresh ideas of what to podcast from any academic area.

We will explore different livestreaming tools such as Streamyard, Soundtrap, GarageBand, or Audacity. We will show how Canva or Adobe can help with building supportive graphics. We will also explore blogging to accompany sountracks and get more bang for your buck in cross-curricular content.

My presentation will be full of hyperlinks so attendees won't have to take notes. They will hear from actual students about the process. They will leave with student-craeted podcasts as models for their class or inspiration for their class.

This session will be heavy on collaboration and conversation. Attendees will get to know the people they sit with and leave with more connections.
