Director of Instructional Technology

Dr. Michelle Eckler is the Supervisor of Technology for Teaching and Learning for the Waterbury Public Schools in Waterbury, Connecticut. In this role, Dr. Eckler helps teachers transition to a new model of instruction that encompasses a blended instructional model.
Dr. Eckler is incredibly proud to have been named one of ISTE's 20 to Watch in 2023. Dr. Eckler is an ISTE Certified Educator, Google Certified Trainer, and an ISTE Community Leader. Dr. Eckler earned her Ed.D. in Curriculum, Teaching, Learning, and Leadership from Northeastern University.

Digital Learning Initiative Section Chief

Dr. Ashley McBride is a digital learning leader for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.She has experience as a secondary English teacher, instructional technology facilitator and director of technology. In addition to her work with the state of North Carolina, McBride serves on the board of the North Carolina Technology in Education Society (NCTIES). Her experiences in K-12 education and her research in the field informed her 2021 ISTE-published book, The Edtech Coaching Primer: Supporting Teachers in the Digital Age Classroom.

EdTech Program Specialist


Dana Munson is currently the Secondary Level Digital Media & Literacy Program Specialist at the Georgia Department of Education. As a member of DML, Dana helps curate digital media content for Georgia educators. Prior to joining GaDOE, she taught Visual Art for over 23 years in the Atlanta area. Dana has also been a technology trainer within Fulton county from 2014-2021. She is a MIE Expert, i2e Microsoft Certified Coach, Student Voice Ambassador, Adobe Creative Educator, and an Apple Learning Coach.


Jennifer Pfeffer is the Digital Learning Specialist for the Riverside Unified School District in Southern California. Entering her 20th year in public ed, Jennifer is passionate about building capacity in others to help students thrive. With her team, Jennifer supports 1800 teachers with the integration of technology in the classroom, computational and design thinking, digital and media literacy, and digital citizenship.


Dr. Daisy Sam is the Sr. Project Manager for ISTE Certification with 20 years of classroom experience.




Carmalita Seitz, an accomplished professional, bringing over 24 years of experience as a classroom educator, coach, and director. Her four-year tenure at ISTE has seen her spearheading the Certification for Educators program. With a wealth of knowledge in professional learning and working with adult learners, Carmalita guides educators through the certification process, equipping them with vital tools for success. Her deep commitment to empowering educators fuels her belief in purposeful technology integration to enhance teaching practices and maximize learning outcomes.
Carmalita holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a Master's degree in Education Leadership.
