Purpose & objective

Objectives:
Empower Educators - Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of Google Earth's capabilities in the context of diverse subject areas.
Design Engaging Lessons - Attendees will learn to craft virtual field trips tailored to their subjects, fostering student curiosity and participation.
Enhance Presentations - Educators will discover how to create captivating presentations using Google Earth's features to reinforce key concepts.
Hands-On Learning - Attendees will engage in and guided through the creation process of a virtual tour of their own choosing.

Technology intervention:
My presentation centers on the utilization of Google Earth as an immersive tool for interactive learning. This versatile platform enables teachers to create engaging virtual field trips, dynamic presentations, and captivating student projects.

Pear Deck will be utilized solely for audience engagement with the presentation.

By the end of the session, participants will possess the skills and knowledge to harness Google Earth's full potential, promoting dynamic and inclusive education while addressing the challenges of the modern classroom.

Introduction (5 mins) - Presenter introduction and setting the stage
Activating strategy (5 mins) - 20 questions game with audience member and a veiled famous landmark
Navigating the Google Earth platform (10 mins) - live demonstration from presenter
Google Earth's Timelapse feature (5 mins) - live demonstration from presenter and audience participation
Audience reflection (5 mins) - peer-to-peer interaction, turn and talk, pause for questions
Ideas for the Classroom (10 mins) - presenter will share ideas, example lessons, and student artifacts for audience members to explore
Guided creation (15 mins) - presenter will guide audience members through a step-by-step process on how to create their own project
