Purpose & objective
Our expert panel will:
-- Make the case with recent research for Durable Skills development as a pathway for students to deepen in-demand employability skills, access equitable employment opportunities and establish thriving careers
-- Draw a direct connection from Durable Skills development in grades 6-12 to developing a more inclusive national workforce that can compete on a global scale
-- Explain how the Durable Skills Competency Framework is informed by the needs of employers and can be implemented in classrooms to assess students’ non-technical skills, enabling more inclusive hiring and equitable education to workforce pathways.
-- Showcase examples of initiatives and partnerships at state and district levels that are advancing Durable Skills curricula

• Why are Durable Skills an ideal pathway to a more inclusive workforce and greater access to equitable employment opportunities? (10 minutes)
• What are Durable Skills? (Exploring Competency Framework development) (15 minutes)
