Christian Nazarene Academy
I am an Industrial Chemist that discovered the passion for teaching. As a teacher for almost 12 years, I have taught Science and Math. I've been the Subject Curriculum Coordinator while working at Christian Nazarene Academy. I'm a passionate learner about new tools and learning strategies that use technology. It is part of my vision and philosophy that every student at our school has the opportunity to explore and grow to build their knowledge using technology. That is why, as an Academic Principal is my goal that students learn how to use technology as a tool to learn.
Anabel Pacheco Rivera, teacher in Spanish Language Arts, with six years of experience and two as coordinator of the Spanish Program. My classes are aimed to provide language access through technology and the development of linguistic skills through innovative digital tools. Currently, she assists in the submission processes in the Coding Bossess: Girls Who Code project. Take over @ CNA. Envisioned to provide tools for development in computer sciences for women. My greatest wish is to promote reading and writing, especially through such a technological world.
Maribel Pacheco Rivera is a puertorrican Computer Science teacher with 13 years of experience. She designed a technology curriculum at her school using the ISTE Standards for teachers and students, with the statement: "Think, solve and interact through Technology". Now she works as Tech Coordinator and teacher at Christian Nazarene Academy in Puerto Rico. In the present she is the facilitator for the Girls Who Code Club impacting 26 girls interested in Technology and STEM. One of her passions is to grow professionally and share her knowledge to others.
Session description
Come and meet our Coding Bosses! Get on board and learn how our school girls impacted our community through different projects using technology, computer science skills, and challenge based learning experiences. They will show you that girls can code to.
Purpose & objective
The purpose of this presentation is to engage attendees with the experiences of the Girls Who Code Club at our school. With the knowledge, skills, and motivation they need to excel in their various coding projects throughout the year, attendees will understand the importance of creating a strong foundation of coding skills, fostering problem-solving abilities, and building confidence in using technology to make a positive impact. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the world of coding and its applications, setting them up for success in future project ideas.

Outline
During our presentation, the Girls will follow this outline:
1. Presentation of the Club Members - 5 minutes
-Using a game created by the students
2. Explain the Challenge Projects - 5 minutes
-Students will present the projects worked throughout the year and their achievements.
3. Activity - 10 minutes
-Students will showcase one of their projects and attendees will interact with them and try
4. Sharing Plan Lesson Bundle - Scan and go!
-There will be a code to scan the bundle
5. Questions and Answers - 5 minutes
-Teachers and students will answer questions of the attendees
