Session description

The concept of microlearning can increase student engagement and learning, and technology allows teachers to create powerful lessons. Take your tech tools and focus on one objective, deliver it through microlearning lessons, gather assessment data, and personalize feedback and instruction for your students.

Purpose & objective

Incorporating microlearning into the classroom is a way to capture the attention of students, in small segments, through digital media and technology. The single objective focus is designed to elicit a specific outcome (e.g., identifying words with short vowel sounds). Teachers can use available tech tools (Google, Screencastify, YouTube, FlipGrid, SeeSaw, etc) to deliver lessons in 3-5 min segments. Built in assessment demonstrates if students met the objective or require a personalized learning path to achieve mastery.
