Bobbie Bastian is a Computer Science teacher at FutureForward at Bollman in Adams 12 Five Star Schools, where she teaches AP CSA, Cybersecurity, Networking and Senior Projects. Bobbie is the Past President of the Colorado Chapter of CSTA and is the CACTE ETMA division President-elect. She has over 17 years of teaching experience in both elementary and secondary levels. Bobbie was a member of the Colorado Computer Science Standards Committee and the National K-12 Cybersecurity Standards Committee. She is passionate about Computer Science and is a Code.org facilitator for AP CSP, and AP CSA workshops.

I am the founder of the Innovation Lab at Clear Sky Elementary and just completed my 28th year of teaching. I share a variety of digital tools and the principal of Design Thinking with all of our K-6 students. The curriculum in the lab is a combination of STEM and Makerspace, organized within the LAUNCH Cycle. Over the course of the school year, students work through a variety of design challenges: coding, robotics, building with cardboard, circuits, game design, and stop motion animation.

Stephanie Ashworth Kawamura currently teaches multi-subjects in a self-contained, gifted and talented classroom for the Douglas County School District’s Discovery Program. Stephanie holds a B.S. in Human Development and Family studies from Colorado State University and a M.A. in Special Education: Gifted and Talented from the University of Northern Colorado. Student-Created Carnival - Each year about 80 students work together to create a carnival for the entire school population with the goal of raising money for a cause. We will bring several student developed games for participants to play, and will discuss our process and successes.
