Dana Munson is currently the Secondary Level Digital Media & Literacy Program Specialist at the Georgia Department of Education. As a member of DML, Dana helps curate digital media content for Georgia educators. Prior to joining GaDOE, she taught Visual Art for over 23 years in the Atlanta area. Dana has also been a technology trainer within Fulton county from 2014-2021. She is a MIE Expert, i2e Microsoft Certified Coach, Student Voice Ambassador, Adobe Creative Educator, and an Apple Learning Coach.

Session description

Over 65% of the population are visual learners. Giving students the tools to make visual associations to oral or textual notes helps them create long-term knowledge. Learn some fast and fun ways to engage students in visual notetaking even if you are not an artistic expert. These visual art techniques can be made by hand or through digital notetaking. Learn how to make listening fun and impactful for your students.
