My name is Caty Carmendy, and I am the Instructional Coach of Mooresville High School. I have previously been a beginning teacher of the year for both my school and my entire district. My teaching background is in high school math, but I now work with all core and elective subjects. I also have an extensive amount of experience as a technology liaison with other school districts to help with 1:1 or other technology initiatives as well as presenting PD at conferences not limited to but including NCTIES and ISTE.
Session description
The strategies and templates being explored in this presentation are resources that are curated for coaches by coaches to better support teachers with AI literacy. The North Carolina Department of Instruction created an AI Collaborative Cohort to further support various roles with AI implementation including coaches. Come check out some of the immediate and ready-to-use resources that instructional coaches curated to help their teachers and schools with AI Literacy. These resources include but are not limited to a teacher AI reflection template where coaches can guide teachers to critically think about how the use of AI in their lesson impacted student learning.
Additional Information
I have just linked one sample of a resource or template that will be shared in this presentation. Lots more resources are being curated and shared as we speak. Therefore, I will have a variety of resources ready to share with other coaches as we continue to work together to curate more relevant AI literacy resources for coaches.
