Hi! I'm Larisa (pronounced Lareesa) Black. I am a co-founder of the EduGuardians Professional Learning Network, a virtual science teacher, and an AI Literacy Coach. I founded my business, Teach Wise AI, to assist educators in integrating AI into their classrooms effectively. This is a transformative period in education, and I believe it is crucial for all of us to engage in discussions and decision-making regarding AI in education. These tools hold significant potential to enhance learning, but it is essential to understand both their possibilities and limitations.

Session description

I will explain my experience using chatbots to personalize learning for students in my virtual classroom. I use SchoolAI's free chatbots both synchronously and asychronously. It has increased engagement and given that "wow" factor to instruction. It is challenging to get students excited in a virtual school, but the chatbots have personalized learning in a way that is innovative. I have also used the chatbots to have students collaborate in break out rooms as well. These chatbots have accommodation features. I especially love that they are safe to use and teachers can see all the data and conversations on their end. I know this is a lot of information in a 8-10 minute and 20 slides, but as a content creator and photographer, I know I can easily make this presentation informative, funny, and engaging to the audience. I have experience with being as succinct as possible!
