Session description

Discover the Cyber Safety Project's Digital Wellbeing Inquiry Project, a transformative approach to teaching cyber safety and digital wellbeing. This project empowers students to tackle the challenges of their online communities through firstly uncovering their own digital habits. Starting with a critical question, 'How can we leverage our digital experiences to promote positive change for our online community?', this session will showcase how students develop digital citizenship skills. Students engage in a self-guided inquiry, analyzing survey data on their online engagement and sparking debates that link digital behaviors to safety and wellbeing. They identify and address significant online issues, creating innovative solutions. This process fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and student agency, guiding them through structured phases towards launching actionable strategies for a safer online world. Join us to learn how this project equips students to make a real impact on their digital wellbeing and that of their peers.
