Mia is an instructional partner at Seesaw. Prior to joining the Seesaw team, Mia taught Kindergarten in Chicago Public Schools for 10 years. In her tenure as a teacher, Mia explored innovative methods to transform teaching and learning and empower students daily. Mia is a Google Certified Innovator, PBS Digital Innovator, and Seesaw Certified Educator. She is also the author of Building Blocks for Tiny Techies: A Teacher's Guide to Digital Learning in Primary Classrooms. While assessments can come with a cringe, knowing how to use Seesaw's powerful, learning experience platform for elementary students to assess students with engaging, multimodal tools is nothing short of awesome! Find ways to bring ongoing assessments to life with new insights and tools you can use today!
Purpose & objective
Participants in this session will both understand the importance of multimodal tools to create better and more accessible assessments to engage students and follow their learning, but also learn how Seesaw's platform and content allows them to do this seamlessly, throughout their day.
