Elevating Student Agency through Brain Science and Ed Tech

There are two important educational truths. Every day, every student in every school and every district will have their brain, the organ of learning, with them. Second, the strategic use of educational technology can enhance how we teach and how students learn. This session, from the school-based, teacher-led Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning (www.thecttl.org), provides participants the chance to deepen their understanding of the most promising research and strategies in the science of how the brain learns, works, and thrives while exploring tools and labs that change how to bring the most effective learning and study strategies directly to students. Session attendees will leave with research-informed strategies to rethink and redesign the current way students learn how to learn in their schools, programs, and districts.
