Erika Tepler, a Senior District Strategy Consultant at Nearpod, designs and delivers interactive professional development combining instructional best practices with the latest technology. She ensures high-quality product training and implementation from district leaders to school personnel. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Erika specializes in ELL pedagogy and technology integration. She has led professional development sessions for up to 900 participants, both in person and virtually. With over 15 years of experience in education, she has served as an instructional coach, English Language Teacher, and department head in the U.S. & Spain. She holds an M.A. in Education and a Certificate in Comprehensive Literacy.

Session description

Technology plays a vital role in education, offering tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning experiences. However, balancing on-screen and off-screen activities is crucial for promoting holistic development and well-rounded education. Nearpod emphasizes technology integration while maintaining a healthy equilibrium with offline, hands-on learning experiences.
