Farzana Cassim, an Instructional Technology Teacher Advisor with LAUSD, brings innovation to Adult and Career Education. Starting as an ESL student in Burma, she empathizes with creating inclusive educational technologies. Holding a BA in Psychology, she focuses on leveraging technology for new learning methods. At Evans Community Adult School, she pioneers AR and VR use, making learning interactive. Her initiatives integrate these technologies into ESL, Academic, and CTE programs, supporting Social & Emotional Learning and PBIS. Currently, Farzana is spearheading an "AR meets AI" reading class, combining augmented reality books with artificial intelligence chatbots to enhance reading comprehension and engagement.
