Session description
Purpose & objective
This poster presentation will show how Farmcraft exposes students to various career pathways in agriculture and STEM fields. Attendees will learn how NASEF equips educators with detailed, themed guides that help students research a variety of agriculture topics. Participants will see how students use plain / vanilla Minecraft to build and demonstrate key learning concepts. Additionally, the poster presentation will highlight how students play in a custom Farmcraft world for an immersive learning experience about climate change, food trade, food security and much more. Attendees will understand how to help students understand modern agriculture by making critical decisions such as how much to water and fertilize their crops and the use of drones that impacts their crop growth.
Outline
