Session description
Outline
- Build trust and transparency through shared experiences and aligned stories as it relates to social-emotional intelligence in the field of education. This is done through an opening 10 minute discussion.
- Explore key concepts and research of the impact of social-emotional intelligence and self-care for educators, which is shared through a 10 minute presentation.
- Develop and prepare to implement a personalized self-care plan and how to build capacity with other stakeholders’ social-emotional intelligence, which is a small group/partner discussion with a whole-group share-out for 20 minutes.
- Engage in several evidence-based emotional regulation strategies led by presenter, so participants can experience the strategies for 10 minutes, followed by the remaining time to engage in Q/A and reflection of takeaways.
