HBGCC - Posters, Table 9
Session description
Outline
I will present examples of at least 8 different activities that my students and I use throughout the school year including units/games created with Nearpod, video creation, polls, reflections, choice boards, and virtual stringed instruments that interact with tablets and computers. Apps to be demonstrated include:
Edpuzzle
Screencastify Submit
Google Slides for choiceboards, student compositions, student portfolios
Google Sheets for Flippity Activities
Wakelet for collecting and sharing resources on topics being learned; student portfolios
Whiteboards such as Padlet and Figjam
MakeyMakey and Scratch or MakeCode for virtual instruments.
I will spend as much time as needed for attendees to learn about and in some cases try the activities. Each component will be described and presented for at least 3-5 minutes or as desired by attendees.
This is a poster session, so peer-to- peer interaction will be the focus. We will be using some device-based activities during this session.
