Session description
Purpose & objective
Our district provides teachers with the opportunity for students to experience a Makerspace Experience in their classrooms or by bringing their students on field trip to the Technology Center's Makerspace Lab. These experiences provide students the opportunity to complete projects and activities that supplement and enhance their curriculum. Every Makerspace Experience incorporates not only the teacher's curriculum but also the design process in order to help students improve student collaboration skills and boost student creativity.
An overview of our district process of scheduling Makerspace Experience field trips and the planning process for developing activities will be provided to participants. Example projects and activities that have been completed will also be provided to participants.
