I have been a teacher for 30 years. I have participated several times at ISTE -NECC since 2008 . My students and I have shared different ideas to implement and innovate lessons. I also participated in formal Lecture session called Cedros News: A practical Video Podcast at Denver ISTE 2010. I have absolutely no doubt that technology has revved up my students learning and my teaching through these years.

Session description

In Cedros International School, during 15 years, students have broadcasting a series of events. Students are encouraged to share what they have learnt in their English class by writing, filming and editing those events in order to develop a report and have breaking news, but now adding AR.

Purpose & objective

The participants will be able to witness the complete participation of the group, how these “special reports” are integrated in the program and see how it is done by the students when they record a report, when they include the video, the audio and the speech. Now with a new element AR.

Outline

Students will explain the main purpose and objective of doing an International News program by having reporters in news capsules and some AR.
They will explain what tools are used, how they record the News, how the reports are included in the Cedros News international and the importance of living in this globalized world.
Small demo- final process.
