Session description
Purpose & objective
The goal of this session is to teach participants how to implement these free resources in their classroom with their students immediately. This session will be very interactive where the participants will be given the opportunity to interact with these materials from both the student and teacher perspective. These resources can be viewed at http://www.geogebra.org/math. This presentation is designed to emphasizes a comprehensive coverage of all of the math skills in grades 4-8, rather than a single focus. The focus on any particular skills will be determined by the participants and their interest. The presentation will be completely catered to the content interests of the participants in the room. Success will be determined when each participant can select a resource of their interest, customize it, and share the resources (digitally) with their group while observing the group's participation on a teacher dashboard.
Outline
Each participant will select a resource of their interest from http://www.geogebra.org/math, customize it, and share the resources (digitally) with their group while observing the group's participation on a teacher dashboard.
Timeline:
15 minutes introducing the resources
10 minutes creating free GeoGebra accounts
25 minutes for participants to share resources digitally from both the student and teacher perspective
10 minutes for questions and/or continued practice

These resources are created to help incorporate "A Thinking Classroom" as described in Chapter 1 (What Types of Tasks We Use in a Thinking Classroom) of Peter Liljedahl's "Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics."
