Bio Patricia Aigner serves as the Director of Technology for the RCPS in Rutland, Vermont. She is licensed as a teacher, principal, and superintendent. In 2020, Patricia received the Frank Watson Lifetime Achievement Award from Vermont's ISTE Affiliate. Patricia also received an ISTE 20 to Watch Award in 2022 and was a featured member in January 2022. Patricia presented at ISTE20, ISTE CCL21, and the fall 22 ISTE Affiliate Vita-Learn Conference. She serves as an ISTE Community Leader.

Clarena began teaching in 2000 and joined the RHS faculty in 2013. She has earned recognitions/certifications as an Apple Educator, a Project Ignite Teacher, an ISTE Making IT Happen Award recipient and is a Transatlantic Outreach STEM Program Fellow. She has a passion for technology and actively updates the HS technology courses to create relevant cutting edge learning opportunities. Her goal is to inspire students to understand the technology of today and tomorrow. She presents regularly at Vermont's ISTE Affiliate Conferences. She also teaches graduate level courses in Educational Technology at Castleton University's Center for Schools.

In the "Empower Educators" workshop, we delve into the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of education. This hands-on session is designed to equip educators with actionable insights and tools to leverage AI effectively in their teaching and learning environments.

Purpose:

This workshop is not just about theory; it's a practical guide to harnessing the power of AI to enhance the teaching and learning experience, ultimately empowering educators to better prepare their students for the future.

By the end of the "Empower Educators" workshop, attendees can expect to:

Have a solid grasp of AI fundamentals relevant to education.
Be aware of a range of AI-powered educational tools and their applications.
Know how to implement personalized learning approaches using AI.
Navigate the ethical considerations associated with AI in education.
Develop ideas for integrating AI into their teaching practices.

Content and Activities:
Audience will explore a wide variety of Artificial Intelligence tools and resources for educators.

Time:
Introduction - 5 minutes
Demonstration, Exploration and Back Channel - 40 minutes
Final Q & A Using Back Channel - 10
Closure - 5

Process:
The audience will use their own devices to collaboratively explore AI tools. the back channel will be used for generating screenshots, asking questions, commenting and overall engagement.
