Session description

Facilitators will share versatile uses of ChatGPT-like tools from creating engaging student activities to improving educator effectiveness. Explore how to engineer prompts in order to provide cultural connections, elicit feedback responses, prepare student goals, and invent STEM activities. Practice leveraging these tools for learner variability and student agency.

Purpose & objective

*Participants will make explicit distinctions between traditional methods of lesson planning and innovative AI produced standards aligned instruction and activities
*Participants will test the ability of various AI tools to provide multiple means for educator to personalize content and instruction for learner variability and provide culturally responsive learning experiences (UDL framework)
*Success measured by participants populating a shared padlet with impactful teaching strategies generated by AI that can help scaffold the learning experience and improve outcomes for all learners
*Participants will understand how biases exist in large language models and examine responses for possible examples
