Soledad Aranda, a proud LAUSD alumni, has dedicated nearly 25 years to the district, excelling in various roles such as bilingual teacher, Intervention Coordinator, TSP/Title I Advisor, and Assistant Principal, EIS. In her current position as a Readiness & Integration Specialist, she focuses on integrating technology, fostering computer science education, and implementing digital citizenship programs across LAUSD schools.

Session description

In this session, administrators will explore strategies for incorporating AI into their schools. They will learn how AI can enhance literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning. Bring a laptop or tablet.

Purpose & objective

In this session, participants will learn new strategies for incorporating AI into their teaching to connect students to real-world experiences in and out of the classroom. The focus will be on incorporating AI features into literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning lessons. Participants will also receive AI-powered productivity tools and resources to help streamline their productivity.

Objectives:
Build collective understanding and shared baseline knowledge about AI in education.

Explore equity issues and instructional shifts that may be impacted by AI.

Experience AI-infused tools and resources and their implications to student engagement and learning outcomes.
