Session description

Engage students in the exciting world of artificial intelligence, this interactive activity empowers learners to design and program their own chatbots, fostering creativity, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of AI. A hands-on journey into the future of technology and communication.

Purpose & objective

Purpose:
The purpose of the "AI and Chatbots" activity is to introduce participants to the exciting world of artificial intelligence (AI) and chatbot development. Participants will gain hands-on experience in designing, creating, and programming their own chatbots. This activity aims to foster creativity, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of AI, preparing participants for a tech-driven future.

Objectives - Participant Outcomes:

Understand the Basics of Artificial Intelligence (AI):
Participants will learn fundamental concepts of AI, including its definition, applications, and its role in modern technology.

Explore the Functionality of Chatbots:
Participants will examine how chatbots work, including their use in various industries and everyday life.

Design and Plan a Chatbot Interaction:
Participants will develop the ability to design a chatbot's conversational flow by creating a flowchart, planning user interactions, and defining responses.

Programming and Implementation:
Participants will gain hands-on experience in programming a chatbot, including writing questions, defining responses, and implementing logic for effective interactions.

Problem-Solving and Iteration:
Participants will practice problem-solving skills by testing their chatbots, identifying issues, and making iterative improvements to enhance user experience.

Promote Creativity and Customization:
Participants will have the opportunity to customize their chatbots, incorporating unique personalities and responses that align with their chosen context or theme.

Ethical Considerations in AI:
Participants will explore ethical considerations surrounding AI and chatbots, including privacy, bias, and responsible AI development.

Presentation and Sharing:
Participants will present their chatbot creations, sharing their designs, functionalities, and experiences with fellow participants, promoting collaboration and communication.
