Eleni Kyritsis is the Deputy Head of Junior School at Strathcona Girls' Grammar. She is an award-winning teacher with a passion for sharing her creative lesson ideas to enhance teaching and learning around the world. Eleni has been recognised for her outstanding contribution and support of the education community by being awarded the 2017 ACCE Australian Educator of the Year and the 2016 DLTV Victorian Educator of the Year. Eleni has been honoured by the opportunity to facilitate keynote presentations and professional learning workshops across the globe.

Session description

StrathconaGirlsGrammar, has established its distinctive award winning TinkerTrain framework. This innovative framework draws upon extensive research from esteemed institutions like Stanford'sDSchool and Harvard'sProjectZero. The TinkerTrain empowers educators to craft learning objectives that embrace visible thinking, design thinking, technology, and student agency, fostering the development of empowered and unstoppable young women.

Purpose & objective

Educators will be provided with the TinkerTrain Model, see first hand of the continuous reporting, awarding student badges to showcase learning outcomes. Practical ideas that they can take back and impliment at their own school.

2 min Introdcution - school context
10- minutes journey through Strathcona's Tinker Train the process of learning that happens in the classroom.
10 minutes - showcasing student learning & student examples of learning
5 minutes Q& A

This session will be interactive as if participants are a student in the classroom. Participants will all board the TinkerTrain and be taken on a journey to develop their own understanding and knowledge.
