Session description

Discover six unique ways to incorporate podcasting into your classroom to promote student creativity, collaboration and critical thinking. We'll share resources to guide meaningful podcast projects. The possibilities are endless!

Purpose & objective

This session addresses the crucial need for collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking in students in a hands-on way. The primary purpose of this presentation is to show educators the potential of incorporating podcasting into project-based learning (PBL). Podcasting is a versatile tool that can engage students, enhance their communication skills, and promote collaboration.

Participants will learn what podcasting is and why it's a powerful tool for PBL.
Participants will understand the benefits of podcasting, like improved speaking/listening skills, creativity, and digital literacy.
Participants will be able to discuss how to use these techniques effectively in their classrooms to enhance students' digital literacy skills.

Success isn't just about knowing more, but being able to do more with what you know. The main goal for this session to be a success is that educators will walk out of the session with at least one lesson plan or activity that they will be able to do with their students the next day if necessary.
