Purpose & objective
Participants will develop ideas for integrating AI in their own schools and classrooms and identify ways to prepare for a future where all students are empowered by AI technologies. Participants will be equipped with the knowledge and confidence to harness the potential of AI to personalize learning, spark innovation, and elevate the educational experience for students, teachers, and administrators alike.
-Review a framework for effectively integrating AI into your educational practices and delve into real-life case studies and examples that showcase AI implementation with a specific focus on ethics and inclusivity.
-Analyze different practices and policies concerning the use of AI tools in classrooms and schools and identify ways to engage students in discussions on the ethics of AI tools in education.
-Develop a plan for evolving your instructional strategies and assessment practices to support student learning and engagement when using AI technologies
Outline
Introduction: Presenter overviews session goals and agenda (5 mins)
AI Landscape Overview: Presentation on current state of AI in education with real examples (10 mins)
AI Integration Strategies: Present key components of the AI Integration Framework (15 mins)
Instructional design, data ethics, bias mitigation, etc.
Application Exercise: Small group hands-on activity using framework to assess AI use case (15 mins)
Groups report out key insights
Q&A Session: Audience Q&A focused on framework application, challenges, and lessons learned (10 mins)
Wrap-up: Presenter summarizes key takeaways and call to action (5 mins)
